Pokémon GO - Announce Trailer

Nintendo has released the trailer for Pokémon GO, their first augmented reality game for Android and iOS!

Capturing Pokémon in the real world sounds like a dream come true for many gamers, young and old, but how well will that translate into mobile gaming? Game developer Niantic, who worked on the successful augmented reality mobile game Ingress, will bring their valuable experience to the popular Nintendo franchise. So it appears the game is in good hands.

Nintendo will also be releasing a bluetooth device compatible with the game called the Pokemon GO Plus.  It is not necessary to enjoy the game, but it does have some perks. The device will allow budding Pokémon trainers to perform basic actions in the game such as catching Pokémon with the simple press of a button. It will also alert players of nearby Pokémon and events.

The Pokémon GO Plus. Wear your guilty pleasure!

The game will be free to download and play, but expect lots of potential in-game purchases.... and a hefty cellphone bill.

No official release date has been announced, but Pokémon GO is scheduled to be available on Google Play and the App Store in 2016.
