Liam Neeson returns in the first official trailer for Taken 3! Or is that Tak3n?
Looks like they changed things a bit with the story this time around, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it should be called "Framed" instead?
Here is a short synopsis courtesy of IMDb:
"Ex-government operative Bryan Mills finds his life is shattered when he's falsely accused of a murder that hits close to home. As he's pursued by a savvy police inspector, Mills employs his particular set of skills to track the real killer and exact his unique brand of justice."
Taken 3 will be released in US theaters on January 9th.
My first thought when seeing this is "We don't need another 'Taken.'" Then the trailer itself made me soften my stance a little bit. Finally, I was like "Oh don't do the 'Driv3r' title thing" once I saw "Tak3n" displayed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought the same thing. The premise is different enough where I wouldn't mind another movie. Either way, we know we're getting some fun action.
DeleteIt is more believable these days that the gov't would mistakenly go after such a person.
DeleteI know producers want to keep milking the "Taken" cash cow, but it would have been a lot better to keep the character and change the title. Fans of taken want to see Liam, so they will see the movie regardless. Just look at the Jack Ryan movies...they all have different titles and fans still show up. Just saying.
