Sony and Sega Team up for SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Feature Film

With the huge E3 Expo going on this week, there is no better time for Sony to announce their plans for a feature film based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

Sony is teaming up with Japan-based animation company Marza Animation Planet to create the hybrid live-action/computer-animated movie based on Sega's billion-dollar brand.

The film is being produced by Neal H. Moritz (22 Jump Street) along with Takeshi Ito and Mie Onishi from Marza Animation Planet. The script is being penned by Upright Citizens Brigade alums Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.

No official release date has been announced.
